SAOIRSE RONAN HAS appeared on the international cover of Time magazine this week.
The Irish actor features in a selection of 10 ‘Next Generation Leaders’ picked by the magazine.
However, the 22-year-old appears on the front cover alone.
Writer Eliana Dockterman, who wrote the piece, has tweeted out the article entitled, “How Talent -and a Little Luck-Got Saoirse Ronan to Hollywood”. The article states:
At 22, Ronan is at the forefront of a generation of female actors overturning expectations about how young women are portrayed in theatre, film and television.
Ronan’s performance in Brooklyn won a Best Actress nomination earlier this year, while she was previously nominated for Oscar for Atonement in 2008.
Four years ago Enda Kenny appeared on the cover which declared a ‘Celtic comeback’.
