TÁ BORRADH AR an sean nós in Éirinn faoi láthair, agus labhair muid le Micheál Ó Confhaola, a bhuaigh Corn Uí Riada i mbliana.

Tugann sé blas d’amhrán sean nós dúinn agus insíonn sé dúinn faoin draíocht a bhaineann leis an amhránaíocht.

Mar a deir sé féin, tá an todhchaí geal don amhránaíocht ach caithfidh muid misneach a chur ar dhaoine óga chun leanúint leis an traidisiún.

Sean nós singing in Ireland is in a great place and we spoke to Micheál Ó Confhaola, who won the Corn Uí Riada this year.

He gives us a taste of what sean nós singing sounds like and explains the unique magic that belongs to the tradition.

He says the future is bright for sean nós singing, but that we have to encourage the younger generation to continue their journey with it.
