LE BLIANTA BEAGA anuas anois, tá níos mó airde á tharraingt ar go leor gné den chultúr traidisiúnta in Éirinn.

Tá níos mó daoine ag foghlaim faoi chultúr agus oidhreacht na tíre, agus bheartaigh The Journal fiosrú a dhéanamh ar an sean nós in Éirinn, chun fáil amach cén seasamh atá ag an traidisiún sa lá atá inniu ann.

Chuaigh muid go Conamara, áit gur labhair muid le Becky Ní Éallaithe, an té a bhuaigh an corn steip ag Oireachtas na Samhna i mbliana.

Deir sí go bhfuil borradh mór ar dhamhsa ar an sean nós ar fud na tíre agus fiú ar fud an domhain.

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in many aspects of traditional Irish culture.

As more people learn about Ireland’s culture and heritage, The Journal decided to explore the sean nós tradition in Ireland, to find out about its importance today.

We went to Connemara, where we interviewed Becky Ní Éallaithe, who won the Oireachtas na Samhna Steip competition this year.

She says there has been a surge of interest for sean nós dancing around Ireland and even around the world.

Tá tacaíocht á fháil ag Beartas Gaeltachta The Journal ón Scéim Tuairiscithe ar Dhaonlathas Áitiúil.
