Showers, sunny spells and lows of just 2 degrees - mixed weather for the weekend ahead

It’s sunglasses and umbrella kinda weather.

WHILE THE WEEKEND is starting of with some heavy rain in places this evening – it will clear overnight meaning a dry start tomorrow morning.

Saturday is expected to stay mainly dry with sunny spells and just a few light showers. However, the night will be cold with temperatures falling to just two degrees.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with scattered light rain or drizzle in the north and east. However, it looks like Munster and south Leinster are likely to escape the showers and stay largely dry and bright.

Met Éireann says Sunday night will see showery rain in some parts but that it will be an unusually mild night for the time of year with lowest temperatures of just 7 to 12 degrees.
