Teenager seriously injured in Cork stabbing

The 19-year-old was stabbed yesterday evening in the city.

A TEENAGER IS in a serious condition in hospital in Cork after being stabbed in the city yesterday.

The 19-year-old was stabbed twice in Knocknaheeny in Cork city during an altercation at Hollyhill Lane yesterday evening, RTÉ reports. It is alleged that a man attacked a group of people in their late teens and early 20s who were drinking in the area. Three other people were injured in the incident.

The injured teenager was taken to Cork University Hospital where he is in a serious condition. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.
