THE NATIONAL LOTTERY has appealed for the winner of €1 million to come forward.
Someone bought a winning Daily Million ticket on Monday, 9 November last but has yet to make contact.
The lucky ticket was sold at the Bus Stop Kiosk in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
Paula McEvoy of the National Lottery told TheJournal.ie: ”We’d love if somebody came forward with a ticket … €1 million is a life-changing amount of money.
Please, please, please check your tickets … We’re more than happy to increase your bank balance.
In a last-ditch attempt to find the winner, representatives will visit the shop tomorrow morning in a bid to refresh people’s memories.
The winner(s) of Friday’s €66 million EuroMillions jackpot didn’t wait as long to claim their prize, making contact with the National Lottery yesterday
They have been given preliminary advice with regard to how they should approach their winnings. It remains unclear at this stage as to whether or not the person or syndicate will go public with their identity.
Amid much speculation, a spokesperson for the organisation told TheJournal.ie they don’t give out details of where the winning tickets of particularly large jackpots are sold.
They said this is to “give players a bit of space to get used to the idea, and talk to family and friends without too much attention on the particular area where the ticket is sold”.
