WHO DOESN’T LOVE a bit of lightning?
It’s not a very common occurrence here in Ireland, but when we hear that roll of thunder we all do that same glance out the window and have that gleeful childish grin on our faces.
Yesterday, thunder and lightning was reported in a number of areas of the country. Just look at all lightening strikes over Ireland yesterday.
According to Met Éireann, on average, approximately 10 to 20 percent of all lightning over Ireland are cloud-to-ground strikes.
One of our readers, Fergal Nolan says “he got lucky” with this strike, which he captured in Athlone yesterday.
So, we want to know if you managed to get some good pics of yesterday’s thunderstorms. If so, send them our way at tips@thejournal.ie
