EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE currently at the scene of a truck on fire at Junction 13 on the M50 northbound.
The incident happened at around 3pm this afternoon and traffic delays are continuing.
Dublin Fire Brigade is currently on scene attempting to extinguish the fire.
It has said that the vehicle on fire is a bin lorry and that “compacted rubbish is difficult to extinguish”.
It is understood that the driver and operators of the truck were not injured.
The left lane of the M50 northbound has been closed off while emergency services continue to deal with the incident.
AA Roadwatch has said that traffic is continuing to move through the middle and right lanes, however, traffic is still slow on approach.
Gardaí are advising motorist travelling northbound on the M50 to exit at Junction 15 or 16 and to re-join the M50 at Junction 12 where possible.
