Two men arrested in connection with Gerard Delaney death are released

Gerard Delaney died outside a pub in Co Cork last December.

THE TWO MEN who were arrested yesterday in connection with the death of Gerard Delaney in Cork last year have been released.

The two men, in their late teens and early twenties, were arrested in Togher in Co Cork yesterday.

They were questioned in connection with the death of 51-year-old Delaney outside the Manhattan pub on Lower Friars Walk in Ballyphehane on 27 December last year.

Gardaí say that the two men were released from custody in the early hours of this morning.

A file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and will be forwarded on completion.
