WE’RE THERE.
Joe Biden has been declared the 46th president of the United States.
Counts are still ongoing in key states and but with current projections President Donald Trump will not to be able to catch Biden.
Trump has continued his baseless claims that the vote was stolen from him today but those claims now appear moot as Biden has gotten over the line.
Here’s a rundown of the key things to know from the results so far:

@Paul Furey: Defcon actually works in the opposite direction, so Defcon 6 is lower than a normal state of readiness. He’s definitely at Defcon 2, where Defcon 1 is where he completely melts down. You love to see it.

We can laugh and sneer but the really scary thing is almost half the population of most powerful country in the world voted to re-elect that clown and the best they could find to run against him appears fairly doddery at best!
@muirhill121: It wouldn’t be because the average American was actually better off with more money in their pockets including African Americans who voted for him in large numbers? Not everybody wants to be told what to do by someone on twitter.

@Jamo: Anecdotely, extra disposable income has been a huge factor in peoples decision to vote for him, regardless of his handling of C-19.
But Biden now has to give serious thought to lockdowns, and the financial strife that they bring.
@Jamo: it is more to do with binary options of voting. They need a valid third party.
@Craic_a_tower: I agree with you, but a new party would need serious finances to compete. And I’m not sure that with the American need for ‘mythology’ how a new party could go about selling itself to fit in with American tradition. Even the advertising over there resorts to pastel colours, autumnal lighting and piano/guitar soundtrack. It’s an appeal to a deep rooted past that never really existed.
@Jamo: oh stop it will you. Him ignoring the pandemic has crucified the economy, most people unemployed ever and the stock market is irrelevant to most Americans as they don’t gain nor lose a cent from it. And wheres the stats on African Americans voting en masse for that narcissistic……person.
@Paul Furey: Look up Trumps African American vote, I think its comes up straight away the facts will be in front of you. And is this the same pandemic that Biden wanted to keep American open and not stop travel in and out, I doubt he would have done much better tbh.

The problem, much like here, is getting people to vote differently.
Trump the total narcissist who only sees the world in terms of winners and losers. The idea he is about to lose in front of America and the world is causing his ego to do manic contortions somewhere in the West wing. The fact that the result is inevitable at this stage and he is being made squirm for days before his final denouement “is a beautiful thing, a really beautiful thing” :)

This election has split families and friendships and predicted to cause riots in one of the most powerful nations on the planet.
It’s only a job, nothing will change (well except the daily entertainment from Mr Trump).

@Trish Boland: it isn’t over!There are currently lots of legal cases in 10 states in which the courts will decide. There is evidence of fraud. And Georgia is doing a re-count. The voting machines have been found to be faulty. 6000 votes went back to trump from 1 county flipping it. These machines being investigated all over America now. So far up to 100,000 illegal votes have been found which when reversed could flip a state. USPS staff were told to back date votes and they are willing to testify before Congress.there is also 100,000 provisional ballots in PA still needs counting. Point is that Biden isn’t the legal president until January. The media called this too soon. Anything can happen from now until January.

The Biden democrats probably wont impeach him, in the interest of peaceful transfer ,but if one bullit is discharged against that, or one life lost through civil disorder ,then the federal justice system should act.
