Woman dies after being hit by a car in Cork

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a car in the early hours of this morning in Douglas.

A WOMAN HAS died after she was hit by a car in the early hours of this morning in Douglas, Cork.

The 37-year-old woman was in Carrshill, Douglas when she was struck by a car at around 2.30am this morning.

She was pronounced dead at the scene which remains closed pending a technical examination.

Traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with any information to contact them at Togher Garda station 021 494 7120, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111
