1.#UNEMPLOYMENT: Launching a new economic strategy today, the Government says they want unemployment down to 10 per cent by 2016 and under 6 per cent by 2020.

2.#REHAB: Victory Outreach, which offers recovery services to drug addicts has defended itself after an investigation by RTÉ found clients were selling raffle tickets during shifts of up to 18 hours. RTE will air the programme tonight.

3.#CONSENT: The Rape Crisis Network Ireland said they disagree with lowering the age of sexual consent stating it would only “compound State failures to protect the older child”.

4. #NAMA: Taoiseach Enda Kenny said allegations of illegality at NAMA was a matter the Government was taking “very seriously indeed” adding that two investigations are currently underway.

5. #SHOOTING: A shot was fired by gardaí during a standoff with a man in Coolock in which he pointed a fake gun at officers.
