A MAN HAS been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a supermarket staff member in Yorkshire on Thursday.
The attack happened at an Aldi in Skipton, around 45km north-west of Leeds, on Thursday afternoon.
30-year-old Jodie Louise Willsher, who was married with a young daughter, died at the scene.
According to North Yorkshire Police:
The suspect was initially detained by brave members of staff and shoppers. He was then arrested by officers who were quickly on scene.
Jodie suffered multiple serious injuries and she sadly died at the scene despite the efforts of the medical team to save her.
The suspect was charged with murder last night and is due before court this morning.
Jodie’s husband Malcolm described her as “lovely and warm” and said she “always had a smile on her face”.
She was amazing, beautiful and a lovely person. She was a doting mother and a loving wife.
