3. #ACQUITTED: Coronation Street actor William Roache has been found not guilty of two counts of rape and four counts of indecent assault that all related to young girls.

4. #ROW: Enda Kenny will participate in the St Patrick’s Day parade in New York despite the city’s recently-elected mayor saying he will skip the event over organisers’ ban on pro-gay rights expressions.

5. #COUNTDOWN: UTV Ireland will begin broadcasting at the start of next year. It will be Dublin-based and the station will be classed as “general entertainment”.
