Four people have been arrested for false imprisonment

Three of the group are still being held in custody in Wexford.

FOUR PEOPLE HAVE been arrested in connection with false imprisonment, blackmail and criminal damage in Wexford.

These incidents happened between 25 January and 3 February this year.

The four were arrested in Gorey and Enniscorthy this morning at around 8.30am.

Three of those arrested, two men aged 25 and 33, and one woman aged 31, are currently being held at Enniscorthy and Wexford Garda stations under the Offences Against the State Act.

A fourth woman, aged 48, was also held in Gorey Garda Station earlier this morning under the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

She was later released without charge.

Currently the exact details of what happened have not been made clear.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
