Man (40s) charged in relation to public disorder at Citywest last week

Gardaí continue to investigate what it describes as “serious” public disorder that occurred in Saggart on 21 and 22 October.

A MAN IN his 40s has been arrested and charged by gardaí in relation to two nights of public disorder in Citywest in Dublin last week.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate what it describes as “serious public disorder” that occurred in the Saggart area on 21 and 22 October.

This morning, they said a man in his 40s was arrested in north Dublin on Sunday, 26 October in relation to their investigation.

The man was detained at a Dublin Garda Station and has since been charged with an offence contrary to Section 15 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.

He appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin yesterday and was remanded on bail to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday, 24 November.

Around 20 people have now appeared before the courts so far in relation to the public disorder.

Gardaí continue to appeal for information on those involved in the public disorder that occurred last week to make contact with the Garda investigation team at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 6667600, or any member of An Garda Síochána at any Garda Station.
