A 16-YEAR-OLD has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning.
It happened at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street at just after 1 am.
A 21-year-old man received serious injuries to his face and was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment.
The teenager was arrested this morning and is being detained at Pearse St Garda station.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, in particular a number of people who approached the ambulance as the injured male was receiving treatment, they may have witnessed the incident to contact them in Pearse St at 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
