Two more arrests in Dean Johnson murder probe

A total of five people are now in custody in connection with the 20-year-old’s murder in May.

TWO MORE ARRESTS have been made by gardaí investigating the murder of Dean Johnson earlier this year.

Johnson, 20, was shot dead as he sat in a car in Clondalkin, Dublin in May of this year.

A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested in West Dublin earlier today, gardaí say, and are being held in Blanchardstown and Clondalkin Garda stations.

Yesterday, a 24-year-old woman was also arrested in the west Dublin area while on Monday two men, aged 33 and 26, were arrested in connection with the investigation.

All five remain in Garda custody.

Johnson was shot while sitting in a car near his home on Moorfield Avenue, Clondalkin on 25 May just after 9pm. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
