Open thread: What do you want to know about the property tax?

If you’ve got a question about the forthcoming tax, leave it here and we’ll do our best to get it answered.

THIS WEEK WE’VE been learning more information about the new property tax that will come into effect later this year.

The tax is likely to see the majority of homeowners facing annual charges on their property of up to €500 with some homeowners in larger, more expensive homes facing a bigger tax bill.

The details of what we can expect have been published in a helpful FAQ on the Revenue’s website, while this graph that we published earlier this week should give you an idea of how much you can expect to pay.

But if you’ve got a reasonable question you want answered about the property tax then we’d be happy to oblige and get the answers for you.

So leave your questions in the comments section below and we’ll do our best to get them answered next week.
